Job Title: Power BI Developer

Location: Atlanta, GA (On-site – 5 days/week)
Duration: 12–18 Months Contract

About the Role

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join a data-driven team focused on delivering impactful analytics and reporting solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and data teams to build scalable dashboards, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to gather requirements
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Build and optimize data models, DAX calculations, and Power Query transformations
  • Integrate data from multiple enterprise sources (e.g., Oracle, enterprise systems, historians)
  • Automate manual calculations such as trend analysis, gain/loss metrics, and statistical thresholds
  • Ensure data accuracy, performance tuning, and optimized reporting solutions
  • Deliver dashboards with automated refresh and standardized analytics outputs
  • Support reporting needs for audit and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 3–6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or similar BI role
  • Strong expertise in:
    • Power BI Desktop & Service
    • DAX and Power Query
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including:
    • BigQuery
    • Cloud SQL
    • Dataflow
    • Pub/Sub
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and performance optimization
  • Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills
  • Active LinkedIn profile (required for submission)

Technical Skills

  • Power BI (Desktop, Service, DAX, Power Query)
  • Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Pub/Sub)
  • SQL and data transformation
  • Data visualization best practices and UX principles
  • ETL/ELT pipeline development

Nice to Have

  • Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Qlik)
  • Programming experience with Python or R
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for BI deployment
  • Understanding of GCP security, IAM roles, and compliance

Work Requirements

  • On-site role in Atlanta, GA (5 days/week – mandatory)
  • One in-person interview required
  • Open to candidates willing to relocate
