Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Insulator to install, maintain, and repair insulation around pipes, ducts, tanks, equipment, and other mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on insulation experience, be comfortable reading construction drawings, and be able to safely work in industrial and commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials around pipes, ducts, tanks, and equipment.
• Install insulation using adhesives, bands, wire, and specialized fastening systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
• Remove and replace damaged or deteriorated insulation during maintenance and repair activities.
• Install protective coverings such as metal jacketing and vapor barriers.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow established safety procedures and industry standards.
• Work safely in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, power plants, refineries, and construction environments.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform other insulation-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Insulator.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of insulation installation and repair practices.
• Ability to safely work at heights and in industrial environments.
• Ability to climb, kneel, bend, lift materials, and work in confined spaces.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
