Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Location: Tempe, AZ 85282
Pay Rate: $32.00/hr.
Job Type: 3-Month Contract-to-Permanent
Schedule: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM, Sunday–Wednesday (4x10 schedule)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to provide mechanical and electrical maintenance support in a dairy processing and manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for equipment troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and maintaining safe and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, corrective, mechanical, and electrical maintenance on plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning or out-of-service equipment.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential maintenance issues.
- Assist plant operators with equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain plant systems, equipment, and facility components.
- Follow safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Read and interpret technical manuals, plant drawings, and electrical/mechanical schematics.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment; food/dairy manufacturing preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with homogenizers, blow molds, and 480V 3-phase electrical systems.
- Knowledge of boilers, refrigeration/cooling systems, heat exchangers, air compressors, and electrical/electronic controls.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of LOTO procedures and manufacturing safety practices.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
