Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, support systems, and facility infrastructure. This role is critical to maintaining operational uptime and ensuring that machinery, kilns, presses, furnaces, and specialized ceramic-processing equipment operate safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, PLC fault-finding experience, and a background in industrial manufacturing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize Fiix CMMS or similar software to schedule, track, and document maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment.
  • Maintain kilns, high-temperature furnaces, vacuum systems, presses, grinding equipment, and other ceramic-processing machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform PLC fault finding and basic programming.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, electrical systems, industrial controls, and mechanical components.
  • Monitor maintenance KPIs and prepare reports related to equipment performance and downtime.
  • Manage spare parts and maintenance supplies, including the quote and ordering process.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment.
  • Develop and implement maintenance procedures and employee training programs.
  • Perform tool and die setups on presses and grinding equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety standards, applicable codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and process efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and support manufacturing objectives.
  • Provide occasional emergency/on-call support as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with Fiix CMMS or similar CMMS platforms.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with PLCs, fault finding, sensors, electrical troubleshooting, mechanical diagnosis, and industrial control systems.
  • Experience with kilns, ovens, vacuum systems, furnaces, or similar high-temperature processing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Electrical or mechanical certifications such as a journeyman license, NCCER, or equivalent.
  • Experience in ceramics or high-precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM practices.
  • Experience with advanced PLC troubleshooting and programming.
