Facilities Maintenance Technician

Location: Tolleson, AZ 85353
Job Type: Contract – 3 months to start
Pay Rate: $25/hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems across corporate facilities and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to respond to scheduled and emergency maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.

  • Respond to scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance work orders.

  • Inspect building systems and identify potential safety hazards or maintenance issues.

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

  • Support the maintenance and operation of corporate facilities and owned or leased properties.

  • Communicate effectively with end users, team members, and supervisors regarding maintenance needs.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and use computer applications to support daily operations.

  • Work overtime and Saturdays as needed, with advance notice.

  • Safely operate company vehicles when required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Specialized vocational training from an accredited institution in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general construction.

  • At least 2 years of related facilities maintenance experience and/or specialized training.

  • Valid driver's license; a DMV record check is required as part of the background screening.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • Flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance needs and work adjusted schedules when required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
